Handmade in small batches, this limited edition cylinder pot celebrates 145 years of Errington Reay. Combining the very beginnings of the pottery, in its design that echo's the drainage pipes that were at the core of production in the early days of the factory. Brought up to date with an abstract repeated print of the ER logo to give you a unique planter for the garden.

Basalt stone column water feature, rough cut finish to highlight the natural style of this piece and bring out the colour variations in the stone. The illusion of a floating top is given by the stainless steel supports, this area can be additionally highlighted with the LED light kit which is included. Bringing together the elements of earth, water and light in a beautiful feature that will stand the test of time. This feature would suit a hidden reservoir base, and therefore would need to be placed upon a support grid with the pump to be connected and exit at the base of the feature into the reservoir below. Water will flow from the top of the stone and cascade over the column into the hidden base covered in pebbles (pebbles, grid and reservoir not included). Made from natural basalt this is a heavy piece which will require more than one person to put into place. Comes with pump for mains electricity and LED lighting kit, we recommend using an indoor plug or covered outdoor socket. Please note due to the natural stone colour variations and shape will differ slighlty for each feature. A storage essential for the home coloured and patterned by the traditional salt glazing techniques used in our beehive kiln give each crock an individual look. This limited edition planter has been handmade by our potters in small batches and fired in the first soda firing in 25 years at Errington Reay, creating a special piece for the garden.
In this atmospheric firing technique a soda and salt mix is introduced into the traditional Beehive kiln at high temperatures. The salt helps to disperse the soda more evenly over the pots in the large kiln. The mix vapourises in the kiln and combines with the silica in the clay to create naturally forming patterns on the pots giving each piece a truly unique style. Colour variations are achieved from the pot placement within the kiln, those high on the stacks getting a heavy soda flash resulting in green tones and those towards the base of the kiln resulting in a more buff earthy brown. With many beautiful shades in between, the kiln ultimately having the final say on the finished look of each pot.
